Its official, skipping has completely ruined my right knee, my shins and ankles. Pissed off as any leg exercises are just agony now. Rope is going in the bin - when I recover its going to be squash, hiking, more circuits and swimming from here on in....anything that pounds or jars the joints is a nono for me...
Do try again in a few weeks, you'll find the legs have healed well and are stronger than ever.
ReplyDeletehey mate, the legs do get better, i had the same problem ....after you take a day or so off get straight back into it. just a matter of getting conditioned for it...
ReplyDeleteHey Roland!
ReplyDeleteI hurt my knee as well... cant blame the rope tho... maybe the 15 years of rugby and the 10 years off... or the basket or the tennis...
I actually think it's the lunges on my side! But injuries are part of athletes lives! So as for PCPer!!!
Good luck mate!
Hey Roland.. I've also got a couple of injuries. I kind of hurt my back doing sit ups a few days ago, but just pushed through the pain. I also strained a tendon in my right leg, but again just push through the pain when exercising. Later, however, I read online that you should never push through back-pain when doing sit-ups. Hmm. I guess you have to be careful when choosing to ignore pain - it is after all your body's way of telling you something is wrong. Take care, and I hope your injury gets better soon.
